In this sermon, Pastor Nathan teaches on how to “fix the real problem with confession and recommitment.” He explains how Nehemiah helped rebuild the city wall for outside protection, but now needs to address the problems on the inside. Pastor preaches that we must confess: 1- God’s character (truth about God), 2 – our (generational) sin (our unfaithfulness). We need to confess and then recommit. In this sermon, Pastor Nathan talks about the problem under the problem. We need to fix the real problem by understanding Scripture and rejoicing in the Lord. We need to understand: 1- God warns, 2 – God restores, 3 – God is in charge and reigns. So understand, then rejoice: disrupt you life for the Word, disrupt your life for community, disrupt your life for Sabbath rest. If you want to change your life, it can’t stay the same.
