Christmas Promises/Today’s Realities

December 27, 2020

This was the last service of 2020 here at FBC!  Kent Wallace concludes the Series of “Christmas Promises/Today’s Realities” by teaching through Luke 2:8-21.  Did you know that “AD” – means: “The year of our Lord”?   Every year is the year of the Lord until he returns.  So it is appropriate for us to use our voices to tell others what Christ has done for us!

Christmas Promises/Today’s Realities

December 20, 2020

Pastor Nate gives us each a challenge:  “What Promise of God am I anchoring my soul too?”  This week he teaches us that we can have Joy and Rejoice because God is faithful.  If you have a minute send an email to Pastor Nate answering the question he asked Sunday morning! What do you anchor your soul on?  nsmith@fbcallegan.com

Week two of the Christmas series reminds us that God is King.  What is our responsibility to our heavenly Father?  How about we surrender our lives to God without condition?  Pastor Nate will start in Luke 1:25 and be teaching on the Miracle of God.

A very special guest joins us today – Dr. Tim Warren.  Tim was raised at First Baptist and is the son to the late Jean Warren.  He is finishing a long career with Dallas Theological Seminary.  The message today is about “Hope”.  Is there any?  One word can describe hope:  Immanuel – God With Us.  A great lesson to begin the Christmas season.

Acts 24

November 1, 2020

Have you learned how to “wait?”  Pastor Nathan teaches in Acts chapter 24 this week.  The Apostle Paul waits for years to be cleared for crimes he did not commit.  In this chapter we learn how Pail dealt with waiting.   Let’s learn from Paul how to have an unquenchable faith that allows for endless opportunities to stay on mission.

Acts 23

October 25, 2020

Be courageous because the Lords plan will work which enables us to be a witness for the Lord.  Sound simple?  Listen as Pastor Nathan works through Acts 23, II Timothy 4:16-18 and Romans 8:28-30.   We can begin to understand why we would need or even want to have courage when facing hard challenges.
