In this sermon series, Pastor Nathan asks: “What are you thankful for this Christmas?” In this series, we will “open” four Christmas gifts: the first gift is Jesus taking, the second gift is His reign, and the third gift is forgiveness. Pastor preaches that sin is our biggest problem and forgiveness is the best gift. Jesus has authority to forgive sins. So: 1- Believe He can forgive your sins, 2 – Confess your sins to Him, and 3 – Bring others to Him. Listen in this week, as we look at the third gift of forgiveness in Christmas Gifts.

In the passage, we are reminded that Jesus is Lord so we should follow Him: 1- on mission, 2 – now, 3 – in faith over fear and 4 – in spite of questions. In this sermon, Pastor Nathan asks: “What are you thankful for this Christmas?” In this series, we will “open” four Christmas gifts and the first gift is “taking”. In the passage, we read about 4 stories of healing. Pastor teaches that Jesus heals by taking. So we need to: 1- Go to Jesus, 2 – Bring them to Jesus, and 3 – Rejoice and give thanks. We are living between the Garden of Eden and heaven. God is waiting and we are waiting for Christ to return. He is giving us time to repent and witness to others. In this sermon, Pastor Nathan asks: “What did you learn from Ecclesiastes?” How have you lived in the past 106 days during this series? Ecclesiastes raises questions about what matters most in life. Pastor preaches that God will judge us, so: 1- Surrender (God is in control) 2 – Stop chasing the wind (don’t compare your life to others) and 3 – Enjoy the grind by giving thanks. Ecclesiastes 11:7 – 12:8

In this sermon, Pastor Nathan asks: “Are you a happy person?” The book of Ecclesiastes tells us that life is too short for fake joy and that real joy comes through gratitude. Pastor preaches that God created everything for our joy and our enjoyment of His gifts glorifies God. So, take joy: 1- before decline 2 – before death and 3 – because life goes quick. Ecclesiastes 11:1-6

In this sermon, Pastor Nathan asks: “If you had 23 days to live, what is God telling you to do? Are you stuck? Waiting on unknowns?” He preaches that God returns what we sow. So risk: 1- the unknowns, 2 – generosity and 3 – doing good. So risk surrender. Life is too short to stay stuck. If you are stuck, overcome your fear and do what God is telling you. Ecclesiastes 10:1-20

In this sermon, Pastor Nathan makes the statement: “Life is too short to be wasted on folly.” This section of Ecclesiastes is a collection of proverbs about folly. We are taught 5 characteristics of folly: 1 – it stinks, 2 – it is everywhere, 3 – it hurries, 4 – it speaks now and pays later and 5 – it disregards consequences. Pastor preaches that we were fools, (all of us at least at one time) but God saved us by His grace. So, we need to learn to hate folly and love wisdom. In this sermon, Pastor Nathan asks: “If you had 36 days to live, what would you make time for?” He teaches that God offers: 1- forgiveness of sin 2 – resurrection hope and 3 – joy now. So we are to thankfully enjoy all God’s gifts. The homework is to enjoy a meal with loved ones that reminds you of your heavenly home. In this sermon, Pastor Nathan asks: “What is frustrating in life that keeps us from joy?” We must anchor our soul to the fact that God will make it right in the end. He teaches that God: 1- gave moral order 2 – will punish and reward and 3 – is beyond us. So: Enjoy God’s gifts. For homework, by Nov. 15, we are to enjoy God’s gift of a shared meal that is unhurried and “unphoned” where we can give thanks to God for His gifts.
